Title: Need Some Help Needed with Buffalo LinkStation Setup Issues ??
Post by: davidddmilller on September 25, 2024, 06:06:13 AM
Hi everyone,

I recently bought a Buffalo LinkStation NAS (model LS220D) and I am struggling with the initial setup. I followed the steps in the user manual but the device isn't showing up on my network. I have tried rebooting both the NAS and my router but still no luck.

Here's what I have done so far ::-

Connected the LinkStation to my router via Ethernet.
Powered on the device and waited for it to fully boot up.
Installed the NAS Navigator software, but it doesn't detect the LinkStation.

I am using a Windows 11 PC if that helps. I have read some older posts about firewall settings possibly blocking the NAS but I am not sure what changes to make. Has anyone else faced this issue: ?? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I already searched on the forum for any thread related to my query and found this one https://forums.buffalotech.com/index.php (https://forums.buffalotech.com/index.php?topic=555.0)rpa (https://www.igmguru.com/machine-learning-ai/rpa-automation-anywhere-training)?topic=555.0 (https://forums.buffalotech.com/index.php?topic=555.0) but couldn't get any help.

Also, does anyone know if there are any known compatibility issues with Windows 11 and Buffalo NAS devices: ??

Thanks in advance for any tips !!
