Title: USB HDD not to be detected
Post by: Snufkind on March 30, 2010, 04:03:21 AM

Hello,

I used a trekstor usb hdd with 500 gb on my LinkStation Pro LS-GLD5E. until it broke down. Thus I changed to a 1,5 tb hard disk by Freecom but my LinkStation just do not detect it! I already formated it to NTFS  without success. Do you have a solution?

#1.  This is not supported.

#2. You need to get the firmware back onto the unit (this is the only info that I will give):

#3.  The drive should not be formatted to NTFS.  This unit uses XFS filesystem.
