Title: LS-CH1.0T direct connection problem
Post by: carabao on March 26, 2010, 04:18:49 AM

I have a BUFFALO LS-CH1.0TL LinkStation firmware 1.21 and connecting it to my 802.11n network gives me only 2.5Mbps/sec transfer. however i have an old external 500g  drive and i need to transfer all the files to my linkstation.  Tried connecting the linkstation directly to my laptop computer with my ip set to 192.168.11.159 subnet 255.255.255.0. however, my laptap cannot see the linkstation. i use the supplied cat5 cable. do i have to use crossover cable?

You have to reset the unit once you direct connect it to a pc.

still cannot connect. Windows 7 says no connection. Restarted my PC twice. Linkstation was also restarted twice. I already turned off my wi fi connection. Tried connecting my PC to my router using ethernet cable to rule out any problems with my pc and cable and the result is I have connection with the internet.  I used the  ip 192.168.11.159 and subnet 255.255.255.0 in my pc to coonect to my linkstation.

LS CH1.0T direct cable connection PROBLEM SOLVED. I used a crosscable to connect my pc to my NAS. Then refreshed my network connection and I can transfer my files faster than my 802.11N network
