Title: KB#000235 XP does not see full size of the 4TB Quattro Drive Station
Post by: HeyZ on November 24, 2008, 04:21:40 PM

I just installed a 4TB Quattro Drive Station (Raid 5; NFTS) on a computer with WindowsXP. The two letter drives appear as G (1.9GB) and H (0.75GB).  KB#000235 provides a solution for this problem, but it requires the installation of the GPT Mounter Software. The website for GPT Mounter software states "GPT Mounter does not allow Windows XP/2000 to access partitions larger than 2TB".  The knowledge base instructions directly contradict the software that solves the problem, so who is correct?    I would like to establish one 3TB drive for backup purposes, but am limited to computers with WindowsXP.

Has anyone actually established a 3 TB drive on a WindowsXP computer with GTP Mounter? Was a ESATA connection required?
