Title: Help - HS-DH500GL USB NTFS HDD and printer
Post by: davidtwliu on March 24, 2010, 10:46:34 PM

Finally set it up after two years of struggle.

1. Connected a NTFS HDD to USB port.  Now aware of the read-only limitation if not a XFS HDD.  The USB HDD has data on it.  It keeps grinding continuously.  Why?

2. A remote PC would send and complete a print job successfully - no error message.  But nothing comes out of my faithful hp laserset 1012.  Why?

1. If the drive is grinding, possible picker arm malfunction and the drive could be going bad.

2. Check the compatibility list for the network printer you have installed to make sure it is on the list.
