Title: Buffalo linkstation gigabyte not recognized by the network (sort of)
Post by: smedpop on March 21, 2010, 10:22:21 PM

I have a Buffalo linkstation connected through a wireless router.  I just installed Windows 7 home premium on my computer.  The Network does not detect the linkstation.  When I enter in \\LS-G190 on the network line it does not connect.  It only connects successfully when I put in the network line the IP address.  I was able to put a short cut on the desktop.

Other devices on the network show up as expected.  And it is still recognized by my other computer which runs Windows Vista.

It's not a big deal, but sometimes on certain programs you cannot save to the linkstation unless it is found on the network.

Any ideas.

Thanks in advance
