Title: Backup stop
Post by: iraweiss on March 19, 2010, 08:07:54 PM

I have a new 2TB USB HD-HX2.0TU3 USB 3.0 DriveStation. When backing up sometimes the drive stops responding. This happens especially after the drive has been in use for a while. The backup has hanged. I also cannot access the drive with Windows Explorer. The blue light is dimmed. What could be the problem?

could be a faulty drive.  Try plugging it into another computer, even 2.0 and see if it works there.

I tried two things:

Setting the ecoManager to turn off after one hour rather than five minutes

Updating the motherboard USB 3.0 drivers

So far, so good as I backed up 60 GB a few days ago with no issues.
