Title: TeraStation Duo TS-WXL/R1 and DCOM error 10009
Post by: lcwondr on March 19, 2010, 11:11:40 AM

TeraStation™ Duo - TS-WX2.0/R1 firmware 1.30 in a Windows 2008 domain.

Is there a way to eliminate the DCOM errors registering on the domain controller event viewer 10009?

"DCOM was unable to communicate with the computer <buffaloNAS>.<domain>.local using any of the configured protocols."

In joining to the domain had to create a special admin account with the password limitation policy of the device not recognizing some characters in the password.  To keep my complexity standards I used a password with the "-" and "_" characters.  I'd sure like to be able to use my domain admin account instead and be able to use more characters such as ":" and "."

Thanks.
