Title: HD-CEU2 DriveStation Freezes When Copying Files And Being Unreponsive
Post by: Cooney on March 17, 2010, 02:37:16 PM

I have a HD-CEU2 : DriveStation™ TurboUSB which has been running successfully for over a year but recentally when i try to copy files onto it they freeze and become unresponsive resulting in me having to shut down my laptop by holding down the power, after this the hard drive will then not appear in my computer but i have found disconnecting it from the power for a few minutes sovles that but i have tried many things to fix the hard drive by updating the firmwire and reformatting but the problem continues.

I have spent a good deal of time looking on the internet and on the forum here for similar problems but i have found none that help me, so if anyone has experience this problems or knows of any reason that when copying files to my hard drive they freeze it will be great to hear, thank you.

Could be a hard drive problem, what OS are you using?  How large are the files and what file system is the drive formatted to?

Im using Vista and the hard drive is formatted to Fat32 because i use it with my PS3, and it happens with all files all different sizes.
