Title: Manually control Direct Copy?

Is there any way to manually control the Direct Copy function to a USB drive?  I have two issues:

 

1) I only want to copy some of the content on my LinkStation because my USB drive is only 200GB.

2) I want to be able to copy files with extensions not listed in the manual as supported.

Unfortunately no there is not.
