Title: Unable to access SMB share from Windows computer
Post by: Bynming on October 17, 2022, 09:00:57 PM
Hi all,

My Terastation 1400 (TS1400D335) has been in storage for a while and it contains data I need to access from my PC. I have SMB2 enabled on the NAS. However, whenever I try to connect to those share from my PC by mapping a network drive (as I used to), it fails. I get the "Attempting to connect to \\TS1400D335\drive" message for a while, and then it times out without an error message, kicking me back to the login credentials popup. Yet I can connect to it just fine with my android phone.

Any idea what could be the cause? Note that I've tried to enable SMB v1 just to give it a shot and it doesn't help. I've also tried to "Enable insecure guest logons" in the registry and verified that SMB2 is indeed enabled on the PC. I can't see any reason why I can't connect.

Thanks
