Title: HD-HS1.0TU2/L is not recognised when plugged in
Post by: teds on November 22, 2008, 08:51:59 PM

My HD-HS1.0TU2/L is not recognised by my laptop.

It is not enabled under USB controllers.

I unistalled it but now it won't install using the installation disc i.e does not register as new found hardware.

It powers up then starts clicking then stops also the hard drive stops spinning with green light still on.

When the laptop is switched off, the green light stays on - HD not spinning.

When enabling or disabling I get a message - TurboUSB can not be enable, or can not be disable if I try to disable it.

I only had this for a month, any help will be much appreciated.

It sounds like the drive in the enclosure may have died, if you try the unit on another computer does it behave the same way?

I am having the same problem. Plus have tried calling support and the recorded voice asks you to press 1 for supoort which takes you straight back to the recorded message again. The hard Drive has hardly been used and sitting in a box. Can't imagine anything could have blown from overuse.

IT is possibel that the drive has died, especially with the clicking sound.  Another thought is did you install the turbo USB features, instead of just using USB 2.0 interfaces?  If so try removing the turbo USB program.
