Title: Access
Post by: dexstroyer on March 09, 2010, 03:47:41 PM

Erm, right.....

This is my first NAS, and kinda getting lost.....

I have set up and have it setup with 2 folders, General & photos

I have set up webaccess for general and no webaccess for photos,

Now then when I double click the name of my NAS on the desk top, it brings up the 2 folders, general & photos, The photo one I can clickand have access, the general comes up with a login screen, and as yet I have not managed to login this way.

If you can help please go easy!

Pre-beta code for Windows 7 released this week addresses many complaints about Windows Vista--and introduces a slew of changes intended to make the OS faster, easier to use, and more customizable. Take a look at some of the more visible features, including a redesigned UAC, handy Jump Lists, and more.

First what model is the NAS and what firmware are you running (check the NASNAVI 2 program)?

It sounds like your problem is access restrictions not web access.  Try typing in a username and password of a user that you set up in user management.  Make sure they have read and write privileges (can't tell you how until I have a model number and firmware version)
