Title: can't upgrade a TS-WXL
Post by: Zlika on March 09, 2010, 04:19:44 AM

Hi all.

I have a TS-WXL running firmware version 1.06. Since I am getting errors during backup, I wanted to upgrade to firmware 1.20 or 1.30. I have actually tried both, but all I get from tsupdater.exe is a message to the effect that it can't find any device that needs upgrading.

The network is a perfectly classic 192.168.1.x/24 network ; I have tried from two different workstations, running W7 with the firewall disabled.

Any workaround ?

Thanks in advance,

RVa.

Try doing a direct connect with static ips on both sides, the buffalo and the computer, use a cat5e or cat6 cable and see if you can update it there, also try safe mode with networking.
