Title: TeraStation III restrict web admin access to subnet

TeraStation III TS-X8.0TL/R5

Firmware Rev. 1.30

has global IP and is visible to the internet, so is web admin access

Hi

my problem is, that i want to restrict the access to that terastation to our subnet. So far, the whole world can access that terastation (its password-protected), but its visible to everyone, especially b/c its webinterface is showing. So, i know good passwords and that, but better security would be to simply limit the visible range of that NAS.

explicitly: anyone in 123.321.xxx.xxx can access the station, not in that ip-range -> no access.

I looked around and didnt find any option to limit the access to the subnet in the web interface. Am i overlooking something, or does Buffalo not allow this restriction?

to be honest, i wouldnt be surprised as the active-directory admin also is not allowed to have special characters in its password....

but i still hope i dont have to squeeze a dedicated server with a simple iptables in between.

if you can help me out there, thanks a lot.
