Title: Emtying Trash/recycle bin LS-320GL
Post by: iluvBuffalo on March 01, 2010, 11:06:30 PM

I was running short of disk space so I deleted some files.  No change in storage.  I realized that the LS320GL might have trash or a recycle bin.  Found where I could disable it for the different shared folders but couldn't find how to delete any files that are still in the trash recyle bin.  I'm using windows XP SP 3, LS-320GL firmware 1.02, and NAS Navigator version 2.18.  Any help would be appreciated

I answered my own question and am posting it here in case others have the same problem   Each shared folder has a directory called "trashbox".  If you delete all of the files out of that folder for each shared folder your freespace will return.  Being a risk adverse person I renabled the recycle bin by using the web interface to navigate to the shared folders/shared folders setup/ and then clicked on each folder for access to the radio button to re-enable the recycle bin/trashbox feature.

I'm probably the only one thick enough to have this problem ...but just in case there may be some others equally as genetically defective as I am, I'm posting this to the forum.
