Title: Terrastation III and Windows Server 2008 R2
Post by: dashrender on February 22, 2010, 04:35:08 PM

I have a Terrastation II, Buffalo tells me that it does NOT support Windows Server 2008 or Windows Server 2008 R2.

So now I have to RMA this back to my vendor.

Can any customers confirm that they have the Terrastation III working in a Windows Server 2008 (R2) Active directory environment, And that your member servers (either Win Server 2000 or 2003 or 2008) can fully access the TS III as well?

Thanks

It looks like it's compatible with 2008 according to our website: http://www.buffalotech.com/products/network-storage/terastation/terastation-iii-ts-xlr5-ts-rxlr5/

What seems to be the issue?

I've got a TS Duo (2 drive version of the TS-III) that provides a few shares to a Windows 2008 (not R2) box.  It's not on a domain, however.  Just using as workgroup storage for this instance.  I've got a TS-III on a domain that provides space for Win2k3 SP2 (32-bit) servers, but sounds like that might not be helpful in your case as you're asking AD-specific support on Win2k8 and 2k8-R2?
