Title: "Error: get backup task job" after power failure
Post by: tigerdog on September 06, 2022, 11:36:40 AM
Linkstation 420DE with 2x 2TB drives in RAID 1.  Power failed yesterday - unit restarted and all files look to be OK.  However, configured backup jobs did not run.  When I try to open the backup configuration, I get an error window titled "Error: get backup task job" with the contents "A system error occured. Reboot the LinkStation and try configuring it again."  Restarting does not help.  I cannot configure new backup jobs.

Any ideas on how to get backup working again?

I've used ACP commander to try to understand what file or configuration might be corrupted, but so far, no luck.  Can anyone share info on the underlying system file structure?  Buffalo?  Anyone?

When you get the error ""A system error occured. Reboot the LinkStation and try configuring it again."  this is usually a browser issue in my experience.
For argument sake, can you try a different browser first and see how you get on?

Davo, thanks for the reply.  I'm seeing the same error with Firefox 104.0.2 Linux, Chromium 105.0.5195.52, and even Microsoft Edge under Windows 10.  I wish it was that simple :-)
