Title: HD-CEU2 Possible Drive Failure
Post by: ryanmzore on February 20, 2010, 10:50:15 PM

Hello,

I purchased this 1TB drive around  a year ago and today it has stopped working.  When I boot up my computer (running windows 7) the drive starts and I hear that *click* that drives make when they start working.  Nothing happens after that.  The drive spins but the green light never comes on and the heads cant be heard moving.  This to me is strange because even if I dont have the drive plugged in via USB, the green light comes on when its plugged into the wall.  Now it does not.  My computer does not see it either.  Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Ryan

Disk Failure, Not much you can do, you can try mounting it internally but there doesn't to be an issue with the usb controller or the shell around the drive, data recovery is an option.
