Hi,
I have a LinkStation Mini - LS-WS1, hooking it up to Buffale router WBR2-G54S Ver.2.30 .
The firnware for LiniStation Mini is v1.05 . The firmware for the router is v2.30 .
I am on Windows 7 Ultimate...
The main problem I have is the transfer speed (read speed) FROM the Linkstation To any computer. Transfering files FROM the Linkstation to any computer, the speed is very slow. According to Window's transfer speed, it indicates that the range is around 200~270 KB/second .
The 2nd problem is the opposite. It is the transfer speed (write speed) FROM the computers TO the Linkstation. The speed usually is around 150~185 KB/s .
I am on 100Bast T network, wired-connected, it should not be this slow. I tried using wireless transfer, it is the same speed.
The 3rd problem is the USB connection. I connect a flash drive or a USB-portable drive onto it, hoping the speed would be better. It is just the same.
May I know what goes wrong? How do I config, so that it can be faster. It is my main back up system. I have to transfer a few 4GB image from time to time. And it would take around 4~5 hours to complete 1 4GB file.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks in advance.
Try setting a static ip address on the computer and the ls mini and do a direct connect with a cat5 or cat6 cable and see if the router is the issue. And try to move files over and see if is any better.
