Title: Power management working sporadically or not at all
Post by: EJG on February 19, 2010, 01:51:03 PM

6TB Link Station

LS-QLFD1

Model: LS-Q6.0TL/R5

Firmware ver: 1.11

NAS Navigator ver. 2.22

Rear power switch set to "ON"

I have my 1st power management option set to days; Mon. Tue. Wed. Thu. & Fri.  On time: 0800

Off time: 1800.  It did seem to work when I first set up the power management option.  I noticed

that when I manually turned on the LS after 1800 to use it and then manually turned it back off,

it did not automatically turn back on the next morning at 0800.  I then manually turned it on

around 0900 but it did not turn off at 1800.  I tried to go back into the power management setting

and reselecting everything and clicking on 'Apply' again.  It still didn't turn back on the next

morning at 0800.  Ideally I would like to have the LS turn on every weekday for access while I'm

at work.  If I need to use it in the evening, I would like to be able to turn it on briefly and then back

off without it affecting the 0800 scheduled turn-on time.  Providing I can get this to work, it would

be nice if I could program just an 'Off' time, say 1 or 2 am in case I forgot to turn it off.  The

minimal difference between 'On' & 'Off' time is 15 minutes.  At one point I had a 2nd option set

up to turn 'On' the LS at 0100 and then 'Off' at 0115 but have disabled the 2nd time period since

I can not get my primary one to even work reliably.  Any suggestions on how to set this up?
