Title: TS-XEL Dim/Blank display
Post by: JoeAsheville on August 28, 2022, 06:29:34 PM
I have several of these with very dim or blank displays. The backlighting on most is fine, it's just the LCD portion that is slowly reaching illegibility.

Has anyone had any success with pulling/re-seating connectors on the LCD boards to re-gain legibility, or are these displays destined to slowly fade away to nothing over their lifetime?

Admittedly these units are approaching 10 years old, so it's likely not unusual that the LCDs are giving trouble at this point...but I'm interested in a fix if anyone has successfully attempted one.
