Title: Link Station LS-XL2DE
Post by: Ratz on August 26, 2022, 06:12:51 PM
I have this old drive purchased way back.
I purchased it with the idea of being able to access it remotely.

I setup WebAccess Service, but it was always problematic. Although A highlight was when someone in Australia wanted to see my friends short movie it actually worked. A rare occasion.
I am safety consciences so I only opened it up for short period of time and installed a larger file on it so my friend or anybody could get it and then I shut it down again.

Purpose of this topic is:
Is WebAccess Service still functional (or am I wasting my time and experiencing frustration on something that no longer works?
All works OK on my home network, but not from anywhere else.
I spent days putting a small file on the drive. Then went to my neighbor for reason him being with different ISP and tried to access the file. Sometimes I got through but most cases it was a painful experience.

Anybody out there could you please shine some lite on this situation would be appreciated.

Thanks
