Title: Win7 & LS HD-H160LAN
Post by: mrsullivan on February 12, 2010, 06:36:54 AM

I have two LinkStations on my home LAN: 1) an LS ProDuo (LS-WTGL/R1-V3 F/W 3.09) and 2) an LS HD-H160LAN F/W 2.05.

Both devices work fine from my XP laptop.  However, only the ProDuo is operable from my newly upgraded Win7 workstation.  On the Win7, I can see both devices in my network/workgroup.  However, I cannot access any folders on the HD-H160.  When I attempt to expand the device to show folders, or map a drive to the HD-H160, Windows Security asks for a UserName & Password, where no combination works.  I have minimized security on all devices.  (However, on the H160, I am not allowed to remove a password from a user.)  I do not receive the credential challenge in accessing the ProDuo.

Any ideas?

Do you have access restrictions set on the shares with the HD-H160LAN?  Also when you map shares try doing it via "\\IP" in the run command, not through "network".  If you are still not having luck try disconnecting from all the mapped shares, rebooting the computer and remapping the shares starting with the most restricted share first.  Also where did you get the 2.05 firmware?
