Title: IP Address Problem
Post by: johnsample on February 12, 2010, 04:01:16 AM

Hi,

We recently changed the IP address for the port our NAS (LS-500GL) is plugged into on our network.

However, the NAS is stuck on the old IP address.

I can see the NAS in NasNavigator, but whenever I try to assign it a new IP address via IP settings in Properties I get an error message in Chinese!!(?)

I can't open the NAS via my web browser and if I try to Flash the firmware it finds it, but won't allow me to update.

I've tried powering off and on again and pressing the reset button, and even trying a different network port, but to no avail.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Thanks.

When you hold down the reset nbutton while its on for 10 seconds, do you get any flahing lights?  Also what is the IP subnet of the computer, linkstation and router?

Info blinks repeatedly.

The IP of the subnet is 172.16.13.

The IP of the subnet mask is 255.255.255.0.
