I had prolems with NAS flashing red, after a tftpboot, I upgraded to 1.07 . During part of the upgrade of firmware the updater said somthingabout not being synced with computer.

Anyway it seems to be working fine the only problem is everything is now in mandarin or japanese and I cant understand anything on the web browser.

Nas navigator seems to fins the NAS OK .....but when i try to update again the updater cant find the NAS.

Help...how do I get the language back to English

oops I have the LS-CHL

- Open webadmin.
- Click on the second menu from top.
- See the second row from the bottom.
- Change language that you want.
- Click apply and then try to close ie

- Open webadmin again.

Also, in the drop box below "English", make sure you select "cp437".  After you click apply the unit may still be in Japanease, try click on another link and/or resetting the unit and it should bring the unit back to english.

I have the same problem, but the drop down box in section 2 part 4, only lists two Japenese sets of characters.  I can't see any option to select English as the language.

The second drop down does list code pages (in both Japenese and English).

I have tried both options in the first drop down box but still no English.

I have a Buffalo Terastation HD-HTGL99c  HD-H1.0 TGL/R5

Any help to change to English will be most appreciated

The instructions above are listed correctly, the first drop down box of 2 choices, the 2nd option is the English choice, and the 2nd drop down box is CP437 which is usually the 2nd item in the drop down list

If that does not work after you apply the settings change the hostname by one character.
