Title: LSLive not accessible via TFTP / just beeps and 4x LED
Post by: anderlecht on February 09, 2010, 08:16:25 AM

Hi there,

the 500 Meg drive in my LS-DHGL 500 was physically damaged, so i replaced it with another drive.

Unfortunately I cannot start the flash procedure - the LS starts beeping continuously after reboot and gives me the 4-LED-message "Flash Error"?

Nas Navigator and LSUpdater wont find the LS, even though I changed my PC's IP to 192.168.11.2 (subnet 255.255.255.0) and connected the LS directly to my PC. In EM Mode (pressing reset while booting / powerdown 3 times) it is exaclty the same.

Also TFTP Boot does not work - it is "listening to 192.168.11.2" and  "accepting requests" - but obviously there IS no request from the LS!

I also repartitioned the drive with the original parition structure and the sda-image by FwvG - no success

Any help is highly appreciated!

Regards
Micha

First understand that this is not supported but it should work.  For the TFTp procedure you have to set the static IP on your computer to 192.168.11.1  not .2.  Then let me know if it pulls the files BELOW accepting requests.
