My new LS-CHL 1.0TB is having trouble. It's stuck checking the disk after a formatting operation that lasted several days before being interrupted by a power failure. It's giving me the I21 code of flashing amber lights, meaning that it's checking its disk. On NASNavigator 2.0, the unit shows up as LS-CHL0EF.
I can't seem to stop it. I've tried resetting factory defaults using the function button, and I've even flashed the firmware to 1.21 from 1.10. Every time I reboot it, it just starts checking the disk again.
Is this meant to happen? Do I just have to be more patient (how long should I wait?), or is there something I can do to hurry things along a bit?
I'm accessing the unit from a Windows 7 and from XP. It's the same on both.
All features are disabled until the disk is completely checked/formatted. Also, file sharing is not available.

Progress: Progress
It just stopped in the end. All working now
Yeah the disk check can take a day or two to complete. I have even seen it take 3 days before. You just need to let it go through. Glad to hear it's back up and working.
