Title: Disk Error Question for Linkstation LS-WXLD3A
Post by: Marc8874 on June 15, 2022, 02:08:06 PM
I have a LinkStation LS-WXLD3A with two 2.0TB Drives and luckily no data on them. I am getting a Disk 1 Error Message. I replaced Disk 1 with a brand new 2.0TB HDD but was still getting the same Disk 1 Error so I swapped Disk 1 for Disk 2, which had no such Error, but I'm still getting Disk 1 Error. So that tells me the issue has nothing to do with the HDD and I likely purchased a new drive for no reason. If I know that the HDD drive itself is fine, what else could be causing that Disk 1 Error? Is it likely that the NAs is just shot?
Thanks,
Marc

Did you format the disk or rebuild the RAID once you put the new disk into the NAS? It's also not hotswoppable so the NAS needs to be rebooted before formatting.
