Title: Can no longer access my Linkstaton via WEB using Bullalonas.com
Post by: olphind on February 03, 2010, 03:12:48 AM

New user, installed Linkstation no problems.

Backing up OK over local LAN via cable & wireless via Netgeasr wireless router

Sunday:

Setup Linkstation for WEBaccess simple no security initially

Accessed it via the name I had given it via Buffalonas.com  no probles read read, download video etc

MADE NO CHANGES:

Last two days all I get is "The connection has timed out" & gives an IP address.

I can still access Linkstation locally no problems its all working OK

Is there a fault at the Buffalo end?

The IP address given in the message will not PING

I get the same error if I try & use the demo on the buffalo site where they say you can access via:

www.buffalonas.com/baldeagle

I get this with IE or Firefox.

Buffalonas.com is working fine.

Just tested after reading your message.

I'm able to access my Linkstation which is currently at home and I'm at work now.

PROBLEM FIXED!

Thanks for reply

For some reason my Linkstation had LOST all its WEB ACCESS settings

Have created new NAS.com a/c & used Groups this time to make more secure all now seems OK

I presume OK to SW off NAS / disconnect from WEB when not in use?  I note Buffalo say they will drop a/c if not used for 60 days?
