Title: Twonky?
Post by: Unhappy09 on February 02, 2010, 02:05:19 PM

Does anyone know if the new updates has an update to the Twonky Media Server function? I know it doesnt say it in the release notes, but just wondering if they were omitting something from the notes?

Also why is there 2 different firware updates? 1.07 and 1.24. Do I have to do them in order?

If it wasn't in the release notes then I doubt it was updated.  I will double check for you though.

There are two different hardware versions of this unit.  The easiest way to tell which one you have is to see if you have a barcode on the bottom of the unit.  If you do then most likely you have the 1.24 version.  Another way to tell is your current version.  If it is below 1.09 the you have the 1.07 version, if you have 1.10 and above then you need the 1.24

Thanks PC, I did the update (Flawless) and checked for any media server changes and there was nothing. (Bummer) I was really hoping for a newer version of Twonky. Maybe next time.

Np,  I know that was a popular feature request so I'll let you know if I hear anything.

Yeah shonk that didnt work very well. Apparantly the Asian website is in another language? Go figure. It also looks completely different than the US website so trying to navigate by comparing the two websites is not going to work either. Oh, well.
