Title: Old Linkstation LS-CH1.0TL-EU
Post by: dorianj1 on June 07, 2022, 12:47:10 PM
I have a quite old Linkstation NAS, which I have dug out of a cupboard to try and download a load of photographs off it. I have installed the latest NAS Navigator 2, v3.0.4. The NAS is connected to my Windows 10 laptop using an ethernet cable. When I run NAS Navigator2, it sees the NAS, but when I rightclick and choose "Browse share" nothing happens.

I can access the NAS using the admin function through it's IP address and there is a "share" drive setup on the NAS, but for some reason NAS Navigator2 doesn't seem to be able to see it.

Any ideas?

Windows 10 doesn't have SMB1 enabled which this NAS needs for access. You can re-enable it on Windows but it's a major security risk and not recommended.

Thanks. I've managed to get access, download the stuff I want to save, then removed the SMB option from my laptop.
