Title: Unable to upload large files (4gb+) to my LS-CH1.0TL LinkStation Live
Post by: sxi007 on February 01, 2010, 06:13:34 AM

Hello everyone.

I seem to have a problem uploading files that are roughly 4gb or higher through the administration panel on www.buffalonas.com.

Whenever i try this i get the following error:

Error:

Input/output error has occured during upload

I dont have this problem when uploading files that are roughly less than 4gb.

Any help would be appreciated.

I assumed that your Linkstation is at home or in the office and you are trying it from an outside area.

Have you tried using another internet connection to see if the same problem arise?

I recall reading somewere where a member was having problems with that same thing and the only suggestion that would work was to use FTP instead of the web access feature. Something about webaccess not allowing that large of a file to be transferd. You might want to try FTP.

Sorry Sxi I didn't know you were in the UK. As memory man said it will be available soon and from what I understand it should fix your problem.

sxi007,

check the format of your NAS:   The FAT32 format only support files up to 4GB,  NTFS format will support files larger 4GB.

Good luck
