Title: HD CE500U2 serial number

HI guys!

my external hard drive is a HD CE500U2.

when I plug it into my Macbook the green light flashes but no icon apears on my desktop.

 

I have tried to download hibernation problem file but they dont allow me  because they say that my serial number is not correct.

I wrote the one which is in the box: MEMBUFF000-EP10-7CMG-60RS-703A-80RR

but it dosent work.

 

Can someone help me out with this?!

dude, that's not the serial nuber of the Buffalo product.

 

that is the serial number to the Memeo auto-backup software.

 

The serial number should be at the bottom of the HD-CEU2.

i too am having the same problem, however i am entering the 14 digit number from the bottem of my device, but it just wont accept it! please someone help i really need that file and i cant have it i have checked it 100 times im putting it right with the correct product code, but it just keeps saying that its incorrect:(   PLEASE SOME ONE HELP :p

Go to http://www.buffalo-technology.com/?select-your-region select your LOCAL region => support downloads.

 

Chances are you device was bought outside the United states hense the serial number being rejected.
