If you connect a HS-DH GL Linkstation USB socket direct to a PC USB socket with a USB lead will it damage the Linkstation. ?

Thats a shame as i had hoped i could connect the Linkstation direct to a Linux PC and transfer files between them using a USB cable instead of the network connection.

Thankyou for the reply.

I have heard of some people transferring thru the USB ports connected to a PC.  The only thing they are complaining is that it is very very slow.

Strange thing is, when they connect the Linkstation to the PC, it detects it and manages to  open up the folders in it.

But I wouldn't count on it since I've tested a few times and my pc did not detect it and even if it did, where to get the drivers from?

Best bet is to just connect it to a printer.
