Title: Help recovering nice error
Post by: afree on January 27, 2010, 08:53:42 PM

I received a notification email that one of my drives had a write error, then the Terastation shut down, I installed an identical replacement drive - now, how do I recover my system? It was set-up as a Raid5.

On the home page there is a message "Error has occurred in RAID Array1" - when I click on that it takes me to the Disk Management page, the message at the bottom of the page is:

An error in a RAID Array has been detected.
Select restructuring disk and click `Restructuring RAID Array`.

All disks are checked, except Disk 2 (the one I replaced) - if I check that disk I can select the button "Restructure" - but then a message says I will lose all my data. How do I rebuild the system?

Any help would be much appreciated.
