Freezes when? During memeo backup

Sleep settings: (Switch is set to "ON") None, spindown(disabled)

Fan/Temp: The fan is running and it is 65 F where the drive is kept...

Please assist, i have have go to the drive and pull the power plug to get it to come back to life again. I cant even go to the web UI once it freezes.

I am having a similar problem.  I have tried both on and auto positions, but the drive powers itself off at random times.

The blue light still flashes.  I have to manually unplug and replug the device.  I have NAS2 running on all three computers on the network with it and am plugged in through the router.

Thanks,

I'll let you know if I have the same problem.  Your link was busted, but I found it.  For my compadre above the correct link should be:

Question:

Firmware 1.10 is the latest upgrade from what I can find.  What does reinstalling the same firmware upgrade do?

I started a checkdisk after i posted and its been going now close to 24 hours... should i wait for it to finish or pull the power and force firmware update.

That check disk can last up to 72 hrs.  I wouldnt suggest pulling the plug.  If there is corruption in the firmware and reflashing it didnt work then the force will debug it and not check the version.
