Title: change/write access denied on external USB-1TB disk
Post by: peter_jupiter on January 23, 2010, 02:51:30 PM

Dear friends,

last time I connect an external USB-1TB Disk to my Buffalo NAS-Storage Link-Station 1 TB.

The network manager detected the USB-drive without problems, it's also possible to read from

ext. USB-Drive. But it's not possible to change or write on this disk.

Anyone who can give me support how to manage this ?

Thanks and Br

Peter

Any usb hard drive that is plugged into the buffalo nas will be formatted to xfs file format, but only other buffalo devices or os's like ubuntu/linux can read and write to xfs file format.  Windows is based around ntfs and also can view fat32.
