Title: LS-W1.0TGL/R1-AP
Post by: Marc Lim on April 12, 2022, 05:19:13 AM
I had this Buffalo Linkstation sometime in 2010. It was left in the warehouse until I unpacked it last week. The disk with the driver cannot be found so I would need help to get this driver to setup the unit. I am using Windows 11.

Model: LS-W1.0TGL/R1-AP
Serial#: 45882390100255
Any help would be highly appreciated

Windows 11 uses SMB2 (minimum), this NAS only has SMB1. Technically you an enable SMB1 on Windows 11 but it's not recommended as it's a major security risk.

You're NAS is basically too old to safely use on a modern OS.

Thank you Davo
Your reply is highly appreciated

In this case, can I use this as a normal external harddisk? If so, how do I set it up to be one

It cannot be used as a USB HDD if that's what you're asking.
