Hi,Is it possible to replace the drives in a linkstation quad with 2TB drives ? Its a LS-Q1.0TL/R5.  I understand that I will lose my data, but not sure if my linkstation 1TB is same device as a 8TB linkstation quad, just with smaller drives..  If this is possible, do all the drives have to be the same manufacturer ?  Is there a set procedure for this ?  Thanks !

Just as a quick note.  We dont not support the upgrading of the HD.  If you are gonna do this then search the solved storage threads and you will find many many post about what your lookin for.

ok thank you.  one last thing, excluding the hard drives, is the 1TB linkstation quad the same enclosure as the, say 4TB or 6TB enclosure?
