Title: Terastation III Scheduling
Post by: bob_stan on January 14, 2010, 09:39:55 AM

I want the unit to wake up at 20:00 and sleep at 09:00.  When I try to set that it says the sleep time must be prior to the wake up time.  How can I do this?  I thought about purposely mis-setting the time but I am using Active Directory and the times must match.  I must be overlooking something obvious.

So you want it to sleep through the day?  Yeah it doesn't look like it is working on mine either.  When you say "I thought about purposely mis-setting the time but I am using Active Directory and the times must match" you are talking about the server waking up at the same time as the LS?  If you are talking setting it up with active directory the time that needs to be exact with AD is the actual LS clock.

I will look into the sleeping during the day and awake at night thing for you.

What I meant was if I was NOT using active directory, I could set the time on the Terrastation to be 12 hours off and then tell it to wake at 9:00 AM which would really be 9:00 PM and thus do what I want.  But with Active directory, the time on the Terastation must match the time on the server.  This schedule thing seems like a simple bug to fix.
