Hi,
I own two LinkStation NAS drives (2TB configured as RAID 1). They are connected to a router (Linksys wrt54g). Other computers access the LinkStation NAS drives through the router (both wireless and wired computers). I like to map these drives.
The problem I run against is that the IP address will change occasionally and when this occurs the drives become unmapped. I can fix this by un-mapping the drive and manually finding the new IP address (by guessing a few times) and then re-mapping the drives. It would be much nicer if I didn't have to do this every few weeks or so.
I really do not know what to do. I have limited computer experience.

The best thing you can to do reslove this is to set a Static Ip address on your NAS devices that way it will always be on that IP address. Make sure when you map the drive you check the box for reconnect after log on.
You didnt state the model number and depending on the LS that you have it will be somewhere diffrent.
Check your Network Settings in the Web Admin. The Ip address that it is showing now you can use. Disable DHCP and just set that as your static ip.
