Post by: novawaves on September 28, 2021, 09:03:22 AM
Hello!

I bought a old TS-HTGL/R5 Terrastation without Disks. I have 2 1 TB Disks and deleted every partition on this disks. then i booted via TFTP in the EM mode and used the lsupdater. i found my TS-HTGL/R5 but when i click update i got a ACP_STATE_FAILURE error. and the disks will not be formated.

i tried everything i found in the web but i don't know where the problem is? do i have to parition the disks specially or is it ok when they are only empty? what can i trie more?

thx

Use ACP commander to clear the APC STAT Failure error message:
https://buffalonas.miraheze.org/wiki/ACP_Commander#:~:text=ACP%20Commander%20is%20a%20Java,enabling%20root%20access%20over%20telnet.

Then you will need to install it with 4 working disks, not two.

Finally, this unit is ancient and it will only work on SMB1 so you will need to re-enable this on your PC if you want it to work on a modern OS.
