Hi All,

I own external storage drive Buffalo 500 (Product Series Name HD-HS500U2 and serial 95521671169028G).

I do not have the installation CD. From where I could download the installation software for this product?

I was expecting to be able to download it from the manufacturers website, but it is not possible.

US site - http://www.buffalotech.com/support/downloads/ - if I try to download from here, but unfortunely it sais that serial number is not valid.
UK site - http://www.buffalo-technology.com/support/downloads/ - there is no such product in drop down list.

Any ideas?

PS: please do not advice to contact tech support, because I have done this a few times and the only thing I got was the above links :-)

this link is for the North american region: if your model is different then you can have problems and any issues from that is not support by either support team.

let us know from what country you purchased the device and we'll have the software or serial number added to that country's download section.

I have purchased it in Lithuania (Europe), but it was a second-hand Buffalo (that is why without a CD).

Anyway, there are new ones at shops here in Lithuania as well.
