Title: LS420D0202 - Emergency Mode - no ping after reboot
Post by: msteele999 on August 05, 2021, 11:10:33 AM
Hello,

I have an LS420D0202 that is in Emergency Mode. I was able to update the firmware (I believe) to v 1.87 - After the 'rebooting' message, the device did not come back online. The status indicator is blinking 2 slow and 5 fast which I believe is the code for 'updating firmware'. It has been in this state for 30 minutes.

Is there a procedure for restarting the firmware if I cannot access the IP address?

Thank you.

I have the exact same issue.  Installed latest version of firmware 1.87 for an LS420D NAS Drive, and at the end of the process it just sat there with a I25 blinking pattern.  No way to access the drive now, it does not register itself on the network anywhere.  I have no idea if I need a new NAS bay or if there is some trick to attempt to re-install the firmware.  People talk about a bad drive as being part of the problem, but there is no light indicating that any of the drives have an issue, and I would think that installing the firmware should not care about the state of the drives to complete it's installation.

Did you ever resolve the issue?
