Title: Lost files
Post by: t_stevens on January 02, 2010, 10:53:19 PM

Hi

Hope you can help with the following issue

Have HD-CE10TU2 (B

When I go to my allocated drive to access files from my Buffalo they just dont appear. The drive only shows a recycle bin with nothing in it and a system volume information folder.

The properties of the Buffalo show

Type local disk

File System FAT32

Used 558GB

Free 372GB

I am running vista

Hope you can give me some hope of accessing files which seem to be on the Buffalo

Thanks in advance

Cheers

Sounds like filesystem corruption to me. Try accessing the drive from another computer, but if that doesn't help, more drastic steps are needed.

If the data is VERY important, stop what you're doing and contact a data recovery company, like DriveSavers (http://www.drivesavers.com/).

If it's not important enough, or you can't afford data recovery, try performing a checkdisk.
