   I have searched the forums and tried the recommendations but nothing has worked. I have a LS-WTGL/R1-V3 F/W 3.10 both computers on my network have no issues accessing but my ps3 will not find it when I search for a media server. Any ideas please let me know Thanks!

   

On the LinkStation Pro (LS-XHL) in the web admin there is a page for 'Extensions', and under this there is a sub-page for Media Server. This needs to be enabled. And there is another link to show authorized DLNA clients - your PS3 should be detected in here.

 

But maybe the Pro Duo is different....sorry if this doesn't help any.

   

I have the media server box checked but my ps3 does not show as a authorized dnla client.  My guess would be because it has never connected to the server.

   

I assume your computers see the Media Server via a DLNA client, eg Media Player, I believe. Do your computers show up in the authorized DLNA clients list? If not, maybe your router is blocking the necessary ports across your LAN?

 

Another possibility is you have not enabled the Media Server Connection on the PS3 - according to the manual:-

 

"The DLNA Media Server icon is only displayed when [Media Server Connection] is enabled under (Settings) > (Network Settings)."

I played with the settings on my router and now my PS3 can see my NAS.  Also the PS3 is listed as an autherized client on the linkstation settings.  Now the problem that I am having is that none of the files are showing up.

In addition media player does not see any of the files either.  It only shows the folders.  I have set up twonky and that works but I do not want to have to keep my computer on. 

   

It sounds like you've solved the initial problem, to find a more fundamental issue. I was going to suggest it could be something like a permissions issue, but it seems you have come across a problem that a number of people are having on several Buffalo products. It appears they are working to release new firmwares for the affected models. See the long thread on DLNA Compatibility.
