Title: itunes movies not available
Post by: calyon on January 01, 2010, 05:17:42 PM

Hi,

I have a LS-CHL NAS and when I tried to use it to store my videos, I could not see them from my MacBook laptop.   I could see .mp3 files but no type of video files.  Maybe I need a special extension?

I have firmware version 1.06.

I am running iTunes version 9.0.2

Thanks.

As far as I know, the iTunes server functionalty only works for music.

If that is true then the datasheet is misleading as it says, "iTunes automatically makes the LinkStation available as a content source in your iTunes software."  It should have said music source.  Besides putting video on the network drive makes more sense than audio.

Any plans to fix this?

Thanks,

Chris
