Title: Older NAS Harware Names Not Reconized for Firmware Updates
Post by: tcsomas on April 02, 2021, 02:35:07 PM
I have two older NAS units LS-VL243 and LS220D059 (or at least that is what is written on them!) which the Support Downloads does NOT recognize.

Are they so old that Buffalo is no longer updating the firmware? or do I have to put in some sort of fake number to get a firmware and then will that be compatible with my unit(s)???

I've never really used the serial number lookup feature, but both have received fairly recent updates:

There's been multiple reports of NAS devices no longer available after an upgrade to Win 10.  Some of the issues were resolved by using a local account on the PC vs using a MS account.
