Title: Cannot execute DriveNavi.exe [Model Number: HD-CE1.0TU2-AP]
Post by: william1104 on December 29, 2009, 09:08:17 AM

Dear Sir/Madam,

I just bought a Buffalo Drive Station External USB 2.0 Hard Drive [Model Number: HD-CE1.0TU2-AP]

I tried to install the DriveNavi.exe stored in the driver by default. However, I got the following exception:

==============================

Cannot read setup file

Please check to set DriveNavigator correctry, push "retry" Buffon.

You want to stop this application, push "stop" button.

If you continue compulsorily, push "ignore" button.

(DialogSkin D:\Documents and Settings\XXXXX\Desktop\HD-CEU2_130\images\wlansw.bmp, D:\Docments and Settings\XXXX\Desktop\HD-CEU2_130\images\base_alpha.bmp)

===============================

I checked the folder specified and cannot find the file "wlansw.bmp". Please kindly advise how to solve the problem. If it is not solvable, i will return it to the reseller.

Thanks and regards,

William

It looks like the .exe cannot find a file for the interface skin. If you don't mind a broken skin and are willing to search around for buttons etc., you could simply create wlansw.bmp in the correct directory as a white 1024x768 image.

Does it imply the harddisk corrupt the driver file so that we cannot unzip it?

Moreover, I created a faked image [wlansw.bmp] and executed DriveNavi.exe again. I got error message

"Script Error: Button [BtnClose] is not found."

I looks like DriveNavi.exe missed more than one file.
